i heard they're not selling up fully, but they have some debt to clearIs that really all their farming possessions? Most farm sales have more small lots than big stuff. Surely there a cow hoist, calving aid, electric fence etc.
It just feels like the receivers are just looking to get some easy cashon the big stuff but aren't there to get as much money as possible to the benefit of the creditors or to return as much surplus possible to the family who find themselves in this situation . Do liquidators have any duty of care to get as much as possible or are they just there to sell stuff for whatever they can get so long as they get their cut? I guess 15% of a calving aid ain't worth bothering with for them I wonder what happens to this sort of stuff, possibly chucked in a skip! A very sad scenario.
But in FW it says the sale is by order of the liquidators, that doesn't sound like clearing up a bit of debt to me.i heard they're not selling up fully, but they have some debt to clear
they have an old 3cx in a field as you drive passed and that's not for sale so somethings going on
The job of liquidators is to sell the kit at as little cost to the company as possible, that is why most are on line auctions with buyers premium, never good and things are always cheap at this type of sale, very sad but that is how it is
got a link to the vid?Few people have already started bidding, they have over 10k for the 6320 and loader already!
If that is the same family as in the video on youtube im not sure I would want to buy it given how they have treated it.
Ref the debt, the whole herd of 850 cattle were sold at the time they went into receivership and now the machinery by the receivers is being sold so it must be some debt, youtube video says last year was their 100th year of farming.
