Anybody know what price good barley straw in central Scotland is at the moment?
Had a neighbour asking after some but no sure on price. Quite a few merchants advertising for it in local paper so must still be a decent demand for it yet.

Phone one of them up and find out what they are offering.
Then make some excuses about just hanging on to it yourself;)
Or give them a load each if you've plenty(y)

Must be scarcer south of the border than it is here.

Phoned one today as suggested @Archie to be told price was £45t and hadn't really moved all winter.
Will help neighbour out but rest can stay in the shed!

Morning, I have haylage for sale, good stuff, it'll make horse quality. Based in Maidstone, Kent, good access into the yard straight off the A249.

All in 120 cm (4ft) squares by 70 cm (2ftish) tall.

Got someone interested in standing meadow hay. He will be baling it into 80x45 x 8 ft bales. Varying crop so would prob be fairer to sell by bale. Any ideas how much I should charge. Was thinking around £5
