have someone interested in some meadow hay for either round or conventional bales. Average yield, what would it be worth an acre... I chucked some fert on in in the spring and I think one spray and thats it

All lots being sold which is the first time in a few years, Barley is slightly dearer than last year but Wheat is generally up £10/15 acre around the £40/55 mark.

Results on their web page, not computer savvy enough to do a link. Wheat averaged £36/acre. Nothing very exciting. Another year of bailing ourselves and selling of the shed beckons!

What's the going rate for buying small conventional bales of hay off the field?

To give an idea, small bales are c.£3.50 bought from the barn.

Has anybody any idea what I should be asking for 4ft 80 x 90 well wrapped haylage bales on the field, there are about 100 and a neighbour has expressed an interest ?

Nice green looking hay made last week in big squarebales at Chelford market ( Monday) got to £88 /ton
28 bales on lorry @ 15.180 Ton ......so that's 542 kg each or £47.70 each
