I see the return hose goes into the filler cap. What do you do when you want to top up the back end oil ?View attachment 363004 View attachment 363006 put a dead man switch on the 35 no more spannering battery terminals.

@Shovelhands looks good what material did you use for the pins?

There is a return port on the top cover, left hand side in front of cross shaft, I will get a photo laterThe filler cap can still be unscrewed with a spanner as I bored it thru fitted a bulk head fitting and put a spot of weld to the nut underneath to stop it falling into the gear box.
How else can you get a return line on a ,35?
It was a trick question (Sorry) Many years ago we had a Howard big bale gripper fitted to a 65s Industrial with a loader and that's exactly how the dealer plumbed ours. What a PITA it was having to unscrew that return line before you could take the filler cap off. Good job we didn't need to do it often! I often wondered if there could have been a better way of doing it.The filler cap can still be unscrewed with a spanner as I bored it thru fitted a bulk head fitting and put a spot of weld to the nut underneath to stop it falling into the gear box.

If l knew then what l know now....There is a return port on the top cover, left hand side in front of cross shaft, I will get a photo later
I found that out after to but it's only 3/8 so I left it be , even on a 35 a return restriction would be badIf l knew then what l know now....
So maybe it was the best idea after all. The loader/ backhoe* arrangement on our 65s worked off the crankshaft driven pump , there would have been way too much flow from that system for the bale gripper so that's why we had it working from the tractor's back end pump.I found that out after to but it's only 3/8 so I left it be , even on a 35 a return restriction would be bad
We use third service from the crank driven pump no problem, that includes bale squeezeSo maybe it was the best idea after all. * Of course when we used it for bale loading we took the backhoe off.
How did you work a counter weight when back hoe removed? Ours has been off for many years now. Just have the front bucket on the back full of scrap and concrete blocksSo maybe it was the best idea after all. The tractor had 3 point linkage and The Howard Bigbaler system included baler, gripper and linkage mounted counterweight box (Plus a stand to put the the box on if you wanted to take it off!) Which we filled with sand. All for less than £5000!How did you work a counter weight when back hoe removed? Ours has been off for many years now. More than good enough I'd say. Top work.Don't know if this is good enough for this section, but, here is a wee plough I've just about finished for my son. There is an annual boys ploughing match that takes place on a beach in our island this Saturday.

Do dads have to do the pulling?
If you had used undercoat first then the yellow it would have to go in engineering thread. An extension made in the winter so as the bale shredder could do big square balesView attachment 384882 View attachment 384884
Dont think excesive hammer use is acceptable on there? If you had used undercoat first then the yellow it would have to go in engineering thread.
