I was a bit disappointed with ours - we were averaging 173.6p until the last pen of 47kg only did 157.4p(same hoggs, same meat just a touch bigger) Finished up leveling at 169.06p. But as you say it doesn't look good for the immediate future.
Time to shut up shop for a while.

NOT impressed with the new deduction for Antemortem though:mad: - that's 6 deductions (not counting the vat) off the gross figure now:mad:.
have you challenged the auctioneer over the antemortem deduction? Bloody p!ss take

He was still selling when I left. I told Keith(cull auctioneer) to tell him to ring me - but he hasn't:mad:
It's just 'magically' appeared on the statement. No mention of it in the market report, no mention before he started selling. Not good enough. Like you say, total p!ss take.

Trailer load of 46 today. Total deductions(excluding vat) £179.53 = £3.90/head.

You are being ripped off and shouldn't put up with it!

Even with transport included we are paying less than that!

Which = you are paying about £5 head compared to deadweight!

I would suggest the buyers are running your local auction co.

Pretty much!

Away from home at the mo so can't check the details, but that includes

AHDB levy
MLC something
meat standards something
Waste disposal
50p flat rate commission for market as a collection centre
Transport isn't listed, but I'm guessing it's being paid out from one of the above.

Seems steep compared to Honiton collection centre tbh.

Includes Transport no doubt so actually less in real terms!

Yeh there's no transport charge listed and I don't pay one specifically for transport.

£4.05 would include 50p charge from the market as a collection centre.
TBH I don't begrudge the 50p as collection centre idea suites me well (we'd struggle with access for lorries) and I can pick &send what I like rather than have to offer enough to get a lorry up here
