Your current weather.

Better this afternoon

A minimum of minus 0.6ºC last night. The first dip below zero since 9 Feb 2015. Beats the regular minus 5 & 6s we regularly got in the mid 00s.

I will check today's max tomorrow mrning, but 2016 will not be the warmest year on record for us (2003 to date) it will be about 0.3º less than the top of 2015 which came in at a mean of 16.67.

Hi fox and happy New Year.
There we go for 2017, if you are a farmer, try this app www.agrixp.com. At least to keep track of your farm weather.
-Farm weather center: Forecast 7 days, hour by hour linked to your farm plan.
-Draw at least one field to begin accumulating your weather history at that location: Rainfall, Crop Heat units(CHU), Growing Degree days(GDD) and preview them on the calendar.
-Data can be exported or transferred Pdf, Excel, printing.
Get a try and let us know.

Been an interesting day, rained a bit and froze, 4 cars in various states of hedge jumping on the way to the farm. Including one in our hedge. Yard was like a skating ring all day

Just had a newsletter from Foundation for Arable Research in NZ, although it's summer there with crops heading, they've had a week of frosts in some areas and are expecting poor grain set.

Lovely day - a bit cloudy and had rained lightly first thing, but had that early spring feeling - the air full of little birds; blue tits and finches and a haze of buds on the trees. Hard to remember that Spring really isn't here yet and that it will probably snow before too long...
