Just find out what he wants, go to your bank and draw the cash outWhen he gets back from holiday I will say to him about it
You make it sound so easyJust find out what he wants, go to your bank and draw the cash out
I spent many hours on it if it's the same one..used to be attached to a sprayer 90% of the timeFirst one I've ever seen. Neighbour has a 76 four, and I've seen a 66 and 4600 with Shindler conversions.
Wanted to buy a 6600 Shindler at a farm sale in 1985/6, but dad wasn't keen. We bought an 885xl instead.
Get it bought.
This one has a Donegal plate, maybe same one?A contractor in these parts used one the very same some 20 odd years ago, recall it mowing with a 8 foot vicon mower - was smokey, but went well.
I just ask 2 questions if I want something,You make it sound so easy
Flipsake now I have to buy itI just ask 2 questions if I want something,
Can I afford it?
Will it make me happy?
If both answers are yes then buy it
It's not officially for sale, he said awhile back that he would sell it to me. I only live a mile down road from him so if he needed a third tractor etc it's just a matter of me nipping up and helping him. After how it done This year he mite just keep it, pulled him out a hole many timesIf it was me id just drop a blank cheque in with the bloke before i went on holiday
chances are the tractor will be in your yard when you get home
If its as good as you think it is, buy it before someone else does now its known its for sale.
Do you mean an 8 foot Vicon disc mower? I should hope it did go well! they weren't that power hungry. We used to pull our Vicon CM240 with a Massey 168 in 1st high, high multi-power and even in the thickest and most tangled crops it was no effort for her, she never even showed a wisp of smoke.A contractor in these parts used one the very same some 20 odd years ago, recall it mowing with a 8 foot vicon mower - was smokey, but went well.
Good aul mrs Doyle
Yeah, that's the one. Don't know if he's still got it, not seen it for a while. Did you drive the bigger County ?I spent many hours on it if it's the same one..used to be attached to a sprayer 90% of the time

Yep I would have that on a 3m McConnell shackerator, not my favourite tractor, but pulled well..Yeah, that's the one. Don't know if he's still got it, not seen it for a while. Did you drive the bigger County ?
Chap l knew bought a new Sanderson handler (Ford skid unit) and he complained to the dealers about it smoking and how when working in a shed with it he could hardly see cos of the smog. He asked the dealer if there was any way to stop it smoking and he replied "Yes switch off the engine!"I can't remember if it was on a Donegal plate, if it is the same one it's done way way more than 5000hrs, that tractor worked hard.
Yep, 8 foot trailed mower, an Olympus it had a steel tube from side to side.
It didn't struggle with it, was pushed on fairly hard Infact but smoke it did - my dad buckraked with it in an indoor pit one day and was near fumigated.
Similar to as below. Minus the emissions.
