I use the Trimble Farmworks package for boundary maps

I need to upload these to a Mueller 1200 terminal and I understand they have to be converted to ISO XML file

Has anyone done this before and can they tell how to do it?

You have to go "File" then "Write Job Data". A window will appear and then select Mueller. Memory drive is putting the ISO XML file onto a USB or card. File is saving it somewhere on your PC.

Lets just understand exactly what you want to do..... How where the boundarys created originally? Are you looking to work with presription maps on the 1200 or just make use of the boundarys?

If you simply want to export the boundry from FW, right click on the field in the field list, then "Export Boundaries". Save these to the GIS folder on the memory stick thats been used with the 1200. Stick the memory stick into the 1200 terminal, then go Storage and use the icon with the floppy disc with GIS in it. This should open the boundary in the 1200 and you can then save it to the terminal.

I created the field boundaries for each field in a block on farm works and then exported them to an ag leader integra so all fields were named etc

I want to do same on mueller
Just boundary of field

I don't have a memory stick that's being used with 1200 to have a GIS folder. Simply the boundaries is all I want

Stick a clean formatted memory stick in the terminal. It will the write the necessary files to the stick. Pull it out, stick it in your PC. If it hasn't got a folder named GIS on the stick, create one and save the shape files (.shp) from FW into the GIS folder. Then put the stick back in the 1200 and follow these instruction below.

No problems. What you going to use the boundary for when you get it into the 1200? The accuracy of a boundary drawn in FW from the aerial image isn't going to be that accurate when you get in the field.

The 1200 is in a sprayer
You a boundary line for a field so that when you drive in the sprayer pulls up that field and uses it for section control, it worked fine on integra when I was using vrs with it
Unless anyone has any suggestions how I list 250 fields and map boundaries on 1200
Mapping boundaries on integra was fiddly as you needed to pause in corners to square them so that you could leave section control turned on when spraying the headland?
If anyone has advice as to how to go about this in a simpler way please say

Thanks

I've no experience of the Agleader terminal, but with the Mueller, you only apply the boundary after you've mapped the outside headland run of the field. It doesn't map the boundary as you drive around the field.
I use the 1200 for drilling and spraying, so in a new field I haven't got a boundary for, I drill around the outside of the headland first, then create the boundary around that run. Save that boundary to the terminal and, then when I go back with the sprayer, it only sprays where the drill has drilled. You can then export this boundary to FW.

Can you not batch export all the boundaries from the Intigra in shape files format straight into the Mueller?
Set correctly, the 1200 terminal will organise your 250 fields in the order of distance from where you are, so when you pull up at the field, the relevant record is always at the top of the list.

I find that if I do it that way and the sprayer crosses in over the edge of the drilling the section control turns off the outside section which means 3 metres unsprayed
Alternatively spray headland with section control off
The boundaries are all listed in farmworks by field and then block so its easy to find a field by name
I know the 1200 will recognise where you are as did the ag leader but I found with ag leader you need to be going through the motions as you drive into the field or you would be sitting waiting for it to load, deleting coverage maps helps.

im going to try some of the suggestions above today, i'll let you know how I get on

I followed this procedure and I have export all the boundaries I think,
they load up as big map dotted everywhere and I can recognise blocks
this will get me going,
How do I expect field and block names with this

I'm sure the write job data tab on farmworks should do this
maybe the issue is the farmwoeks export shp files and 1200 needs iso-xml files

there is a convertor on the website but makes no sense to me

Sounds like you've either exported all the fields as on big file or you have all the fields loaded at the same time on the 1200.
Does it list all your fields individually on the terminal?
Go to storage, clear the map and load one field to see if it shows just that one field.

Possibly, I exported while farmer
So all blocks and fields
I don't think they are listed individually
If I was to export individually would that work, does name export
Could I set up blocks on terminal and add appropriate field to that block

Sorry for all questions

In FW, if you right clicked on the farm, it will have exported all the fields together as one .shp file and it will show as one file on the terminal. If you want individual fields, I don't think there is any way to do this easily other than go through and export them individually. The name of the boundary appears on the terminal just as you named it in Windows when you saved it to the memory stick.
