think it is 13,I was under the impression that no person under the age of 14 was aloud in the cab of a moving /running machine ???? Either in the field or on the road.
Actually 13 for most parts of the country, except Norfolk, which has its own by lawI was under the impression that no person under the age of 14 was aloud in the cab of a moving /running machine ???? Either in the field or on the road.
Well firstly I wont judge you about your Renault, we had a similar tractor and we were well pleased with it.I have a Renault 70 14 (don't judge) and a tractor obsessed 8 year old who looks at me like I have left him at the orphanage every time I go down the road without him.
Ask yourself where you would rather they be:I was under the impression that no person under the age of 14 was aloud in the cab of a moving /running machine ???? Either in the field or on the road.
The police have no issues if seat belts are fitted tho and on the road I guess they have more powers.Well firstly I wont judge you about your Renault, we had a similar tractor and we were well pleased with it. Secondly, I remember our Massey dealer telling me that a customer bought a new tractor off them and before they delivered it to him he called in with a brand new Britax car seat and asked them if they could possibly fit it in the cab pre delivery. As he said "If my little grandson is in the cab with me at least I know where he is!" Anyway just to be on The safe side they contacted The HSE who said "Not bloodly likely" (Or words to that effect ). Now that was many years ago but no doubt since then the laws could be the same if nor even stricter about retro-fitting a seat in a tractor cab.
Have you got or do you know the full definition of that law?Actually 13 for most parts of the country, except Norfolk, which has its own by law
Prevention of Accidents to Children in Agriculture Regulations 1988 (PACAR)Have you got or do you know the full definition of that law?
I was not being facetious, but I may be wrong, as I understood there was a by law in Norfolk forbidding childrn of under 14 on agricultural machinery.Prevention of Accidents to Children in Agriculture Regulations 1988 (PACAR)

Fudge the law I say, I have a passenger seat for my 6 year old, when he is sitting next to me I KNOW he is not in danger of getting run overThanks all. I will give up on the idea and tell the young one to toughen up!
Looking back now I see I was born into a life of crime.... what chance did I have?
As Judas Priest would say:
"So much for the golden future, I can't even start my tractor,
I've had every promise broken, there's anger in my heart
you don't know what it's like, you don't have a clue
if you did you'd find yourselves doing the same thing too"
"Breaking the law, breaking the law
Breaking the law, breaking the law"
