When you lads with class 1/2 had your medical did they do they eye test or did you have to go to the opticians? Just trying to sort mine out

Last time I had medical, the doc did eye test. Just read the letters on the chart across the room, if you wear distance glasses do so, might have checked peripheral vision as well but not sure.

Are local GP who dad has his medical with doesn't do the eye test but still wants £120 for the rest, seems dear?

If you have been to the optician they can fill it out. Otherwise doctor will check your vision with and without glasses as well as testing peripheral vision.
Just remember to mention the dizzy spells and blackouts unlike some others.

My dad just had his medical with a private firm, cost iirc £50-60 I think? He was muttering something about the GPs ripping him off......can't remember the name of the company he used though?

Was just going to post the same, I looked back at an email and it was with driversmedicals.com , aka Cotswold Medicals ltd , it cost £58 inc vat.
Did it in an office at the local Big Yellow self storage, bit random, but hey ho

apart from the brakes, the front wheels always seamed to lock up and skid ,i delivered a 10 ton silage trailer and 28 ft ba;le trailers with mine ,pick the drawbar up with forklift wedge a timber under the front spring hanger on the trailer to take the weight of back end of truck
