It was that wet yesterday morning i was nearly jealous of @eulb and his nice dry shed
Be a bit more positive. They will all be in calf, and hang the bulls up.No they've been out for a while. Waiting on a scanning before I kill them incase it's a total flop and I need to get some semen into them
What you need is a bigger lagoon, and it's the same here, far too much slurry wasted when it's wetMy cows look a picture in the shed,no mud in there.
Now slurry on the other hand,I've got loads, going to give in and try and umbical my driest field tomorrow,I'm fed up of jetting slurry over the hedges, been a terrible wet March here I'll be glad to see the back of it.
Will be waiting for the parlour by Wednesday View attachment 494292
Should be all ready month before we wish to use. Frame arrived today, and over site is finished. There gob smacked by the speed the shed builders Work, it's sparked a competitive rivalry. Will you have a house up by the time you start milking or will you have to commute?
Might be a few prints in the concrete..... or is it in an old shell?New parlour gone in near here.
Started on Monday cows going through it tomorrow apparently.

Wheat feed and pke with minerals, all in a pellet @14% protien. Dropped it another 10% today, if the weather sharpens up, then il drop it even more. What are other autumn calvers feeding through the parlour now they've gone out? By rights they don't need anything but we did that last year and they were arseholes so we shall be feeding a dribbling of something. My cake Rep recons wheat is through the roof so wheat distillers is out. He recons go to a lower grade high NDF cake to slow things down through them.
What does he mean wheat is through the roof? Price wise? Still be cheaper than any HDF cake. What are other autumn calvers feeding through the parlour now they've gone out?
