Send some poop over here if you need storage. Worms would love it, they are digesting a pile about the size of yours at the moment. (y)
They'll be treading water soon..

Two years ago there was a big rain here and all the tiger worms and normal earthworms vacated the dungheaps and climbed the water tanks (no lids on):facepalm::yuck::yuck: should have smelled the nice clean rainwater:yuck::yuck: hence why I drain them on a regular basis, in case I ever need it for the house :bag::bag:

That's one thing am short of here since the milk cows went is poop. Used to tip it all outside for years but the powers that be ( the water company ) says it has to be under a roof to stop run off as I'm in a water catchment area. Least all the goodness I'll still be in it.

I keep thinking we should have one really. It seems crazy filling the sprayer with drinking water. What did it cost complete?
One nights rain (28mm, not easy to convert to imperial)

@Pan mixer - would a dry sightgauge be difficult to rig up on that tank? I only ask as I can see your current sightgauge will probably turn green/yellow within 12 month and be difficult (translate: impossible!) to read.
I have no idea, economy dictates that cheap option is the only option, I see your point though and agree, the other tank - installed a year ago - has a sight gauge that has turned bright red for some bizarre reason - must be something to do with rainwater I suppose.

What I have been looking for is a 'floating pea' of the right size, there are tons available that are too small but those ones would drop out of the pipe into the tank when the tank was empty or very full.

@AgriLinc - are you able to help find a pea?

I've got one of these on a fuel tank which works well and not expensive either.

Well after a week of feeling sh*t due to a bad case of strep throat been taking it a little easier. Back up to speed now though so here's a bit of what's been happening.

Spent a couple of days sorting this mess out!

Managed to do a deal on a new spreader after last weeks demo.

Spent a couple of days on the sprayer, got a 2650 in bits with a lift fault ( I'll get pics later )plus a load of other bits and pieces which I can't be bothered listening!

And today it's #airportfriday and it's axels of one of the fire engines due to cracking at the end so they're of to be repaired.

I catch all the runoff from mine and save it up. Plan on filtering any particles out and putting it on with the seaweed concoction and using it as a spring booster around the place. Older fields will get it diluted with seawater, newer pasture rainwater is the current plan.
A visiting consultant called my composting stuff "a waste product":eek: I asked him to leave before I regained composure

Thanks, I always try and pride myself on good workmanship and there's not many projects I won't have a go at . Mind it's easy taking things to bits though it's having the ability to put them back together where people fall down .
