Cost of planning?

Put an application in a few years ago. I sent them the cheque based on the area outer edge of the stantions.
They came back for another £500 because there was a 1 metre cantilever up each side.
Next time might forget to draw the overhang on the plans !!

don't put dimensions on your drawings they only specify that they are to scale, when reading off a scale drawing you can soon me 1m out!!! (always send plans on a4 makes it hard for them to scale from)

I made the mistake of putting every dimension on once, admitted it was a nob of a neighbour who got the council to pull me up on it all but if the dimensions hadn't been there it all looked correct to scale haha (draw 12ft bays I'm sure they wouldn't notice!!!) only cost me £80 to "amend my application" so I just accepted it and didn't moan, council didn't really bother just had to be seen to act after it had been reported.

It only costs you money if you get found out. Build first worry about planning later

Edit if your location is really prominent put in for something on the smaller size and just build it bigger. Draws less attention as they know they will have passed something so very unlikely to come and inspect
