@Bossfarmer Other thing to remember is as your in Scotland you will have a building warrant to apply for also. Cost of this is based on the build cost, with % fee savings for having SER (structural) certification etc.
Actual design costs are hard to say without knowing more on siting, location & more detail - background on the proposals.
