All this about prices are only for 3 hours makes me laugh , who do cf think they are? i bet there are cf sales staff pizzing them selves laughing at this.
they are treating farmers like pavlovs dog , well trained.
Lets get some urea prices and pulan prices and buy that to teach those wanzers a leason

Are Yara taking the pi**
33.5% Extran offered at £5 premium to Yara 34.5% Prilled N (made by CF for them)
So that makes a unit of N in Extran form 5.43% more expensive. Is it worth it?
That’s equivalent to 1.5T of Prilled N FOC on an artic load compared to Extran

To me all this sort of thing and the "buy for 3 hours" definitely smacks of price fixing or at least a fear factor sales strategy.
Yes, it's quite pathetic, my Openfield rep has been texting (along with others) non stop, "Grab it now while you can" stuff the lot of them, it gets tedious after a while, like little schoolboys wanting your sweets off you.

If you look at graphs for Urea worldwide it has gone up in price by about $35 dollars a ton since this time last year. We should be paying between £220-230 tops.

I've had several calls over the last week or so all with the same lines of "get it booked it's going up tomorrow" or the 11.50 call saying "books close at midday I've only got a limited tonnage left at this price" etc.I find it all a big farce and the more they do it the more it makes me adament I'm not buying.

I had a very good chance meeting with an industry experts today , he's someone with vast knowledge and no vested interest in selling anything and he's sure that the CF price has started to high and that it can't rise much and it will probably come down as the season progresses. He also said urea will be back to nearer the 200 mark later in the season.

I remain sceptical but time will tell!!!!

May -June 2017 urea circa $180 FOB, today circa $250 FOB

$70 increase, it has gone up $35 since early may 2018.

I think Urea will have a slight correction down but doubt it will get back sub £235.

Fair enough no one knows. It was about $224 in April and admittedly has spiked a bit more since then. I'll have sporting bet that it will get down to April levels sometime in the next 8 months.
