Not sure about the new pick ups, it was one of the most expensive springs ever and most only have 2/3rd of the lamb crop compared to a usual year plus an expensive winter ahead. Think a new stronger belt may be the purchase of choiceMore new pickups getn ordered next week when the cheque clears, those guys can't complain about the price of sheep when they average 100 a head.
Of course, sooner would be better as I need to get rid of 60-70 fat cattle by lying in time (November please Mr weather man ) or there will not be enough room at the inn!£4/kg by Xmas @Northeastfarmer
