No we use horizontal collector also just not slinky most large scale heat pumps 100kW and above are normally done as boresSo you only bore? You must be a townie installer.

Yup, due to land available. No we use horizontal collector also just not slinky most large scale heat pumps 100kW and above are normally done as bores
Bang to rights, these things I have zero interest in and looked at if for a whole 15 seconds before realising it isn’t even top grade geothermal. This is a joke. I just wish you’d stop letting your pride vail your rational thought.
It’s ok I understand you’re in the thread deep about as deep as Southamptons feeble drilling attempt. 75° as appossed to 150° standard geothermal investment. Yeah @renewablejohn you go ahead and defend this atrocity bicycle heat pump.
Reet big man, do you fancy running a cost analysis on a “bicycle heat pump” versus anything? You really dont get it do you. Technology has moved on whereas 10 years ago CHP revolved around heat sources at 150C now its less than 70C. Thats a real game changer in renewable terms.

If you’re willing to fall on your sword then lets analyse this fully?
Ok son, I’m calling you out front and centre son. What rubbish you talk. Have already seen your sort of mickey mouse figures. I would rather invest in technology that actually works and that includes geothermal for glasshouse heating in the UK in the right location. By all means lets cost up a 2 acre glasshouse site using geothermal at 60C and solar thermal oil at 230C or is that a little outside your comfort zone.
Ok son, I’m calling you out front and centre son.
Give me the dimensions, heat required, time frame, insulation building type.
Time to bury you
Ok, what temp is required and hours/days needed. How high is the roof, gutter & ridge. Walls, are they all glass? Floor, insulated? Type of glass? You already have sufficient information if you actually knew what you where talking about. A 2 acre commercial glasshouse is pretty standard and lets assume the highest temperature crop is cucumbers. Over to you.

I demand an inquest into these fabricated figures and if not, rule them as “heresay!”Just accept it does work. If your not convinced then I suggest you just ask a dutch glasshouse installer who has the figures at there fingertips. For cucumbers you require min 18C max 30C and on my Lincolnshire site the proven temperature is 50C at 1200 mtrs. You dont have to be a rocket scientist to work out that a heat source at 50C can keep a building warm at 30C. Just look at the numbers of hectares that one geothermal source is heating in the example above.

What are you using as emitters in this 2acre glass house?
Ohhhh you are surmising that if you have 50° flow you can achieve 30° demand in a glass house.
Hold my cup of cocoa whilst I scratch my head.
Bored of this now John. Crack on.What heresay figures I have already reported the site sits on the same aquifer as the Cleethorpes site and sufficiently close to assume the bore hole temperatures achieved at Cleethorpes will be the same at this site. Just go to the BGS site and the borehole data is there along with all the other boreholes drilled in the Uk. Simple pipe row emitters to coincide with plant row widths. Why would you not achieve 30C demand on a 50C supply thats what thermostats do or am I missing something.

it would be nice to think our ministers have the fore site to implement such a scheme by making the survey data be handed over, anyone know if it is available, if it is not available this sort of renewable energy will never happen, and it also needs government guarantees to make it happen,
