BBC bias laid bare by Rob Liddle

Obviously I couldn’t read the article from the picture or what it said about doctor who.
So being curious of mind I went and compared this yrs series ratings with last yrs. same episode etc.
Currently this yrs series is garnering roughly 2 million more viewers per episode than last yrs. Is that what the article says ?

But they wouldn’t get made otherwise. The bbc has done it for yrs felt it was cost effective.
Hence the reason why the next series of the bodyguard will probably not be on the bbc
No some other tv company would just pick up the bill then sell it on to other companies weather it be in the uk USA South Africa Australia New Zealand that’s what the bbc do with it . Personally I can’t stand David At I think he’s a pompous twit but that’s my opinion and it’s not shared by many

All news and most tv output has been tailored for this audience and that is changing the world over. Get used to it. Just like the new demographic that’s watching doctor who this yr.

Don’t think so but you believe what you want.
Tv these days is mainly news soaps current affairs cooking mindless chat shows and some sort of talent show with a smattering if quiz shows. Non of which a part from the news interest me as a white middle class man .

As annoyed as I get with the BBC on some rural issues it’s worth saying that the loony left also believes the BBC is biased.

Plenty of people I knew at University share items on social media claiming BBC bias against Corbyn/Sturgeon etc.

If both Momentum and Jacob Rees Mogg both believe the Beeb is biased against them they’ve probably got it about right. The BBC is fantastic. If you believe otherwise try and stomach US TV for a few hours. My jaw was on the floor at the overt bias.

I get where you are coming from, but weather you want to or not we have to pay our subscription to get bbc . I’d rather not.

Don’t they just buy them off the film makers .
Blue planet not all together true either
Maybe, not sure. To be fair the government are far too invilvrd with Auntie! It’s gone downhill since they messed around with the PC move. Sure it’s a public ally funded organisation, but let’s now have politicians involved.

I love Question Time, its the closest thing we have now to give the great and the good a poke, and knock the veneer off.

Laura Kuenssberg makes my hand itch. I have heard her political commentary on the radio and she can be sensible, but on the TV she reduces it to pantomime, so I prefer the more rational tones and views of John Pienaar.
I think my main complaint about the BBC is that in their charge to wards PC, they take up any cause without examining how valid or common the issue is. Hours are filled with trivia, broken down into sound bits because they think we are not capable of understanding it.
According to them everyone going vegan of cutting down on meat when in reality, having sold food, the burger van makes the most money hands down over the veggi option.

When I say they, 'they' usually have a degree, and think anyone who hasn't spent three years or more, of their life studying has no valid point of view or everything has to be reduced to 'good and bad', when life in general is far more complicated than that.
I do not think they are a 'government voice' but in some ways it worse than the 50's when no one sounded like the people on the TV , so there was no fiction they represented the viewer, Auntie Beeb was telling you what was good for you.
Now the face and voice of the Beeb, sounds and sometimes looks like us, but they are just as removed from real life as the chap in the black dinner jacket reading the news. They are protected by a salary, and money from spinoffs, books, etc., that insulate them from the world where choice is not an option for a lot of people.

I mean, which would you trust, BBC News or Fox News or RT or AlJazeera?

I wouldn't trust any of them.

However I would say from observation that you'll get coverage of more USA issues in Fox, Russian issues in RT and Islamic issues in AlJazeera.

The BBC is just plain weird .. it's literally the mouth peice of the worst aspects of Socialism.

God knows how they can justify putting Alistair Campbell on the main public broadcaster. Both him and Blair should have lifetime bans .. preferrably lasting a few seconds.

I don't watch any TV and can't even listen to the Radio any more .. it's totally full of left wing Liberal tripe. Radio 4 was a charm about 10 to 15 years ago .. these days it makes you feel sick.
