I have noticed lately that there is a lot of tracking going on when logging on to this forum,I have a lot of security on my computer, because sadly it is needed no matter what site or forum you visit.
That is why I am sharing this notification I have received this morning, all on this site should look at it and take steps to improve their own computer security, and this forum should look in to it's own security.
Just click on the highlighted link to see it your details have been stolen/ Pawned.

Date of breach: 7 Jan 2019
Number of accounts: 772,904,991
Compromised data: Email addresses, Passwords
Description: In January 2019, a large collection of credential stuffing lists (combinations of email addresses and passwords used to hijack accounts on other services) was discovered being distributed on a popular hacking forum. The data contained almost 2.7 billion records including 773 million unique email addresses alongside passwords those addresses had used on other breached services. Full details on the incident and how to search the breached passwords are provided in the blog post The 773 Million Record "Collection #1" Data Breach.

we don't collect any data from you beyond your username and password to log in to this site - you just get a cookie so the site remembers you

The forum and all our sites are https inc marketplace and classifieds - never visit a site that isn't IMO (look for padlock by web address) and we use SSL certificaten and take site security VERY seriously, we have never had a breach to date and have everything possible in place to ensure that remains the case

I suspect you have a virus on your PC malware / spyware - I would run a full clean ASAP and don't use ift for any banking etc until you have done so

really not keen on the links in this post either - they don't seem to be particularly reputable warning service (norton, w defender etc etc) - I strongly suspect all is not well with your PC

This report has gone worldwide, not just to myself,if you bother to actually look at the list you may notice some disturbing info on the accounts that have been pawned, all you have to do is put your own email address in and it will let you know if you have been pawned . Like Stated I have all the protection I need , including malware screening, anti virus and Kaspersky total security , but it seems that these hackers can bye pass any type of security, and that is why there is a huge list of those who have been hacked available.
It seems that some posters are in to knocking another view rather than taking any posting that may help someone seriously.
A pity really. Read the full list before you dismiss it so easily.

seriously ! I do have half a clue about the internet and site security, what I don't know I pay very smart people to look after here.

you do not want to be entering your details into the links posted in your post

there is something wrong with your PC or you are trying to collect email address from our members

get a reputable anti- virus / malware, spyware cleaner (Norton or Windows defender etc) on your PC and run it as a matter of urgency and stop taking advice from hacker blog websites like the one linked in yior post !

So your telling me, your computer is protected by a number of good security systems against all types of potential online threat which means you must have a fair level of IT knowledge yet you can't post a picture on an internet forum... o_O

ughhh why? I think you need to take a step back and a deep breath. Clive was only showing you the security regarding these forums and also supplying you with some useful information.

But if you really want to go down the route of "mightier than thou", you are using a "Russian" antivirus the UK and US governments have deemed a security risk and banned from use on thier own systems.

As the saying goes "A little knowledge....."

This has tickled me.. I needed at good chuckle this afternoon..

As a software engineer (and some White Hat experience) DO NOT click on that link, DO NOT put your details into any site that asks you to "Check Your Details" or "Check if you have been hacked" or the like.. in fact question almost anything you receive that you did not ask for as it is rife out there.

Those "pawned" sites will tell you that ANY site has been compromised.... then they will ask you to download spurious "stuff".
I checked a dormant web address I own.....its been vacant since 2017....... guess what similar "result".
As soon as anyone says "I have all the latest technical defences" and posts stuff like that you kind of know they are out of their depth.
