All built circa 1992 and still going strong. As well as being an absolute pleasure to use!
Wash your mouth out with soap!I’m posting from the situation of having a contracting business for 32 years and spending my working life on other people’s farms day in day out when all these Ford TW’s were on the large southern estates in there pairs and Your Marshall was bought new. The TW’s finished many estates relationships with Ford and Marshall buyers never repeated the move either.
Your talking rubbish lad, why do you think a tw now is 7k!Wash your mouth out with soap!
The Tw s were untouchable in their day, and bulletproof to boot.
They only went wrong when they started putting powershift boxes on them
Because they're too big for an old boy to restore in his garage, and not easy and comfy enough to drive for most people to run commercially.Your talking rubbish lad, why do you think a tw now is 7k!
Show me one for £7k??? I will buy it.Your talking rubbish lad, why do you think a tw now is 7k!
Plus everyone would rather have a 1455XLBecause they're too big for an old boy to restore in his garage, and not easy and comfy enough to drive for most people to run commercially.
Those estates that owned them moved away from Ford when the tw’s We’re replaced, the side of the engine said hello to a big hole at around 5500 hrs, saw it time and again.Show me one for £7k??? I will buy it.
There was nothing to touch them at the time for sheer grunt, except of course an FW!!!
Bu the time the tws were getting replaced there was a lot of choice in big tractors, not so ten yr earlier. Those estates that owned them moved away from Ford when the tw’s We’re replaced, the side of the engine said hello to a big hole at around 5500 hrs, saw it time and again.
We had a TW 25 when I was in Suffolk. It would pull the bolliks off anything!Bu the time the tws were getting replaced there was a lot of choice in big tractors, not so ten yr earlier.
Most of those big estate tractors never got near 5000 hrs, i bought a ten yr old tw30 with 3000 hrs on it
Cheap raw power, you cant buy that today.
At the ripe old age of 23 (1989) this was my tractor. Seeing comments about TWs; this was proceeded by a JD4240s, that was a real grunter and happily pulled the plough in the photo.
