As an aside - The press is a bit of a one off. Excellent machine in the dry for shallow movement or levelling and getting a seedbed. Not so good in the wet.
Plough is an old Naud, best plough bodies ever made for heavy land IMO. Shearbolt system not so good though.
My only criticism is that your plough appears to be ludicrously small! As the no till revolution gathers pace I think you should be able to acquire a more appropriate tool relatively cheaply.

I do have a 9 furrow as well. But in the circumstances (ie dry and BG) and only 30 acres I decided to use the Naud.

As the no till revolution gathers pace they will ban glyphosate so the plough may come back into fashion.

I know a number of min till or direct drill farmers that have bought up some cheap ploughs just in case glyphosate is banned. One guy who's on 1800 acres presently with 3 x 200hp tractors doing strip till has bought 6 very old dowdswells which they are doing up over the winter to get into working condition. Total spend so far before entering the workshop is just under £12,000. His view is that if he has to he'll put 3 ploughs to work at a time and have spares for when they break which they will at some point of course. He kept two combi drills anyway so he's pretty much covered on all bases for not a lot of cost.

Hi,
Working for one of the leader of contract research organisation, we are currently looking for a bad infested black-grass site on winter wheat ; application would take place post-em (no previous application prefered but may still be possible if infestation bad enough). For this trial we would test a new active substance coming soon on the market, farmers will be compensate for area used + crop loss.
Don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
Regards,
Pierre

Good luck finding some land like that drilled with wheat this year. Any heavy bad bg land is currently uncropped around here
