Yes looking at picture does look higher where feed drops from than the logic
got the same set up but we lengthened the gator drawbar as makes it easy to hook snacker on and to back it ! simple box section and bolted another ball on it !! but our mudguards have took a beating so made new ones with a old wagon mudguards, save the mud flicking up !!Bought logic, second hand £500 good few years ago, came with canvas top, binned that and had a ally one made, just rewired it on the gator

Gone to an UTV mounted one.How
What size and how much did you pay for it if u dont mind me asking?
Does it still count down in 5's or can you set the exact number you want it to count down fromWe bought a chapman last year and it has been first class. Build quality looks great and simple to use. The countdown function is really useful, it means you can properly look at the sheep whilst you drive through rather than counting drops or staring at the counter.
God knows why we messed about dragging sacks around and getting tackled at the troughs for so long!

If you're using the countdown function then yes, you can only preset it in multiples of 5. We set it like that in the program as otherwise it's too much faff to get to the right figure every time.
You can run it in count up mode (starting from zero and running upwards) though to get the exact figure if you need.
Most users will run in countdown mode though as it's much easier to preset the right figure on the way into the field, set it running and then leave it to do it's thing whilst you focus on the ewes.
Again we discussed this a lot when we designed the electronics and the decision was made that for speed it would be easier to do it in multiples of 5, so each individual press increases the count by 5 or holding the button in cycles it up quickly in multiples of 5, thereby making it easier to get to the right figure (as most of the customers we spoke to were doing say 50 drops per batch of ewes). Increasing in single figures made it slower to select the right figure, especially when doing smaller batches, ie. 10 drops for a group of ewes on one side of the field and then 10 drops for a group at the other, for example.Could it not be programmed for a long press to go up 5 and rapid press to go up one when I had mine I hardly had one group which needed a multiple of5
How long would it take to enter 100 on your counter?Again we discussed this a lot when we designed the electronics and the decision was made that for speed it would be easier to do it in multiples of 5, so each individual press increases the count by 5 or holding the button in cycles it up quickly in multiples of 5, thereby making it easier to get to the right figure (as most of the customers we spoke to were doing say 50 drops per batch of ewes). If you hold in the up button it will cycle to 100 drops in 9 seconds. How long would it take to enter 100 on your counter?
Anybody on here using a large 500kg swaledale snacker on big wheels? Took delivery of one today but its way bigger as i expected. I am worried about the hight of it at the front so sheep trying to get into feed fron the front. Feeding with the buggy so wont see the front of snacker. I wouldnt want to run any over or even a lamb....
Yeh there used to a snacker. I might put rubber curtains in the front of it to stop ewes and even lambs going in the front. I underestimated how big it is. Could be twice weight of my old plastic one...Don't have one but I've looked at those ones...
If I were buying a new snacker tomorrow, it's the only one I'd look at.
Are your ewes used to a snacker, or is this the first? They soon learn to go to the rear for food. If they dive in the front when it's moving, they bounce off the 'bumper'... and don't do it again
