Any one got a pair of 16.9 s ?
I like that , also been an Alan makes it slightly more funny.
It has led to some funny moments in the pub where pals have started shouting ALAN!! ALAN!! across the bar when asking what I'm drinking. There is usually a chuckle or two around the pub.I like that , also been an Alan makes it slightly more funny.

Jim Smith has nailed it there.. I was never allowed to go hang around the mean streets of Crieff in the late 80s but faither was fine if I was given a lift by someone a lot older than me in their Ford Escort to a Yf disco in darkest Fife..I get it, but surprised the non farming public can relate to it! Maybe just shows how ridiculous day to day life on a farm is.
My favourite one was the barn dances in tattie sheds. His dad wouldn't let him go down to blairgowrie to hang out at 16. But some randomer in a Subaru impreza with beer in passenger footwell turns up to take him to a barn dance in Fife. On you go son....
Yes it’s a nice part of the world where Jim bides though I prefer around Auchterarder my self, Aye ( breathing in)I thought the bit about contemplating a jaunt down to London for a blackening was funny. The decision not to go probably saved someone getting tasered or worse!
Jim's mum and my mum were best pals at school. I remember visiting Stralochy as a youngster and seeing him there (he's a few years younger than me).
I forget how nice Perthshire is, until I go back and see it again.Yes it’s a nice part of the world where Jim bides though I prefer around Auchterarder my self, Aye ( breathing in)
