They’ve only saved you if they go back up...if they are £40 next week they’ve cost you 3k
I didn't want to post the same ,

Haha yesThey’ve only saved you if they go back up...if they are £40 next week they’ve cost you 3k
Looks like curtains anyway listening to the news. If they shut most if not all shops down then markets are all but gone.
I’m not kicking anyone I’m being realistic...personally can’t see why hoggs have collapsed to today’s levels...ok exports are off but home consumption must be upI didn't want to post the same ,

I sincerely hope everyone that got kicked in the nuts today took their hoggs home. My 90 odd are coming back. Only farmers would so back and let
I had over 90 in. Beckon they saved me over 3k, so fair play.
By telling him the price was sh!t and take them homeHow did they save you 3k?
His commission was going to be £33 .33 a headHow did they save you 3k?

I always thought if the floor fell out under the sheep job because of brexit i would be in to buy a flock of ewes. Unfortunatly whats happening today is what will happen next year with brexit, we cannot consume the lamb we produce but we cannot supply the beef we consume , hence why the beef trade will see less price drops if any nowAs much of a joke it is... I’m after another 150 breeding ewes for next year... didn’t want too but until July but if the price goes through the floor I’ll be buying early [emoji48]

I said to my brother this morning, that its like a no deal brexitI always thought if the floor fell out under the sheep job because of brexit i would be in to buy a flock of ewes. I am really glad I am not taking whatever it is you are taking!! The beef job is completely different from the sheep job ,we are something like 110% self sufficient in sheep meat whereas we are only 80% self sufficient in beef.I wouldn't be too sure about the beef job either for very long!!
If they stop imports because of the threat of spreading covid 19 the beef trade will fly, finished cattle are short, shelves are empty and bbq weather is upon us with everybody at home! Perfect stormI wouldn't be too sure about the beef job either for very long!!

little experiment of dropping stock off and leaving them to the mercy !! seems to have failed. Just as well be a collection centre with prices agreed b4 leaving home. Sensible ones at that . Industry does not need to be messed about .Mart was overflowing with Hoggs. If sellers didn't stay there's a lot of people in for a hellish shock.

I have seen pens of ewes in the old hereford market selling for a few quid so we have seen it all before and survivedFFS! I was there and took ewes home as there was 'no demand'! Heard one auctioneer talking about raffling ewes for £20!
GUTH im sorry but im putting you on ignore, nothing helpful at all just constant doom and gloom.Last nite constant bickering,we need positivity!I wouldn't be too sure about the beef job either for very long!!
