All Irish firms down 10p, I’m sure it’s pure coincidence.
I have been told they want it down to £3 so they can put more of the carcasse into mince as that is where the demand is currently. Steaks are slow to shift atm especially as many are shopping online now as social distancing is making supermarket shopping inconvenient.
Surely steaks should be flying off the shelves now that people are stuck at home?

Probably the easiest thing to cook and definitely the the tastiest meal, ideal for families?

Should be, but the last 2 x I've been for groceries there is no rice or pasta. People are going to be living on spag bol & chilli.... So many never got past that level of cooking after uni.

Got some nice ribeyes for tea myself

Personally think it’s going to be a bloodbath, I hope I’m wrong. The markets might as well cancel next weeks store cattle sales anyway.
Nonsense. Stores prices will remain strong well into May to meet the grass flush. Strong stores were in demand in the run up to covid19 and grazing cattle are in high demand same as usual for the time of year. Beef will go short when everything opens up again and everybody comes out to play. I can see the autumn sales being as dear as we have seen for a long time

If you don’t think a 10p drop out of the blue when many were pinning their hopes on big rises off the back of short term panic buying will give feeders pause for thought then you are in cloud cuckoo land.
And forget hopes of a bbq boost. Social distancing means no inviting mates over and trying to impress by chucking steak on the barbie. Just the family means burgers and sausages .
Grazing cattle, well you are right, there’s always been idiots round the ring in springtime but bigger cattle will be hammered.
