Around here there were next to no winter crops planted, just the odd field on gravel, a few fields of winter wheat drilled in early Feb, one of which is so thick in BG I wouldn't be surprised if it "dies" very soon.
But the majority is spring cropping, if mine averages 5 ton / ha I will be chuffed to bits but I suspect if it doesn't rain this week then 2 ton / ha maybe nearer the mark.
My linseed is hanging on in there, just ,but needs some rain.
My DDed spring barley is awaiting its glypho ?

I normally love combining. But there will be no pleasure this year if there is no more rain.

Fact is, as in 1975 and in 1989, crops are so poor that the only way to show the circling banksters that another big loss has not been made here will be to trade in a combine or two asap after harvest.

The one I always drive, for example, might easily fetch £85k as a trade-in, but currently stands in the books at about £145.

Shall be very sorry to say goodbye, but needs must.
