But in the field using autosteer you can look and reach up to the roof safely to use the proper controls. The wheel is safer to if you feel the need to adjust en route to the field?
Horses for courses. Still don’t want them on steering wheel.

new tractor at end of year will only have armrest controls or on the screen. Will see how that goes when it gets here.

No idea. Personally I quite like it, it just needs shrinking down. Lots of wasted space in there. The armrest in our MF8480 and JD6920 all had the same functionality as the JCB but a much smaller parcel.

Not a fan of some of the other armrests and joysticks with masses of buttons on tbh.

I agree. I think it's fine. Here quite a few people who have demos aren't impressed with it. Definitely something they could update and should be better for amount they cost.
