Going to have to buy a new hand primer I think but won't start on 3
Not yetSilly question....have you puled timing cover off and made absolutey certain its timed right, not just the fuel pump, but the camshaft as well
Don't stop it, it might take a week to start again.ITS ALIVE!
Took the delivery valves out last night and yes it had dirt and some red paint chippings but fuel flow is the same out of all of them and tonight I got it running at lastI mindfull that all these suggestions are being thrown about but as there was no filter in for a while could some muck gone in to the fuel pump and blocked the orifice in no4 pump barrel. It might have gone all the way down the fuel gallery and either got to the end and blocked the gallery altogether or the actual hole into the pumping chamber.
Left it running for 30 minutes and switched of it fired straight back up but will have to see if it starts tommorowDon't stop it, it might take a week to start again.
Well done! Perseverance has paid off, great job.Took the delivery valves out last night and yes it had dirt and some red paint chippings but fuel flow is the same out of all of them and tonight I got it running at last
ALSO, the lift primer pump does not work anymoreHello all I have a B250, So brief History, when I got the tractor it ran but not great, alot of blowby and over heat after a good workout, Still slowly managed to plow my field before winter, Did notice decline of power slowly towards the end of the season, ran better after installed the glowplug coversion, Still power loss when reversing and working really. Then Full shut down, Rebuilt the engine, Sleeves were good but new pistons Bearings and rings, a few were broken and 3 bearings from before but still ran LOL. Now its all together but seems its a fuelling problem, cleaned all the lines, pump looked at, all valves move diesel comes out at injectors but No power stalls under load. trying to reverse with a simple harrow lifted will pretty much kill it, Still tries to ever heat aswell, new water pump was installed and thermostat. the 3,4 injector line leak from the threads at the top of the pump, where the flared head is for the valves, also the kill lever fully pulled the the stoppers rotate to the front of the engine, when pushed in they are at 90degrees, When I pull the stop lever out from the pump a bit they come full 180 and then try to start you get black smoke and grunt when trying to start but it returns to 90 on its own and no smoke or power, I am thinking the leak on 3 and 4 I have no idea why it would leak out of the top of the pump, the lift pump ?
How do you get these springs out of the pump, i got a problem with mine. Fuel osmt coming out of top of pump upto injectors
Got to take the pump off to do that have you?Cam shaft out the bottom, drop the cam followers out and I think springs came out relatively easy after from what I remember
