But their probably cuttin more acres per season than anywhere else in the world
Acres maybe but tonnes of grain/straw combined through the machine I very much doubt it. Some of the big farms in Russia/eastern block will hold those titles I’d expect where yields are similar to ours but fields are like North America..

Russia yields are low
I meant more down towards the Black Sea/Ukraine where 4t/ha is the average and yields up to 6-7t/ha are very achievable.

im sure profi did a dvd on a lexion 600 doing collossal acreage and tonnage starting in the Black Sea going up to north Russia harvesting all types of crops

German panzers used to roam the Russian plains, now it is german combines

I would imagine that the very highest combine outputs and tonnages will be in the regions where they are big on corn/maize as average corn yields in the USA are around 150 bushels/ acre (3.8 tonnes per acre) and there are people who can grow 300-400 bushels in a good year. Of course, the combine is only ingesting the cobs so they can really go for it and cover the ground very quickly into the bargain.

There can't be any harder combining about than a hefty wheat or barley crop that's damp in the straw like in Euroland. Maybe cutting corn with frost or snow in it, I know you can get frozen residue on the sieves in no time doing that.

I found it interesting they were buying lots of tucannos rather than just a few monster Lexions with 40ft cuts. Never found out why.

They have the staff and need the redundancy if one machine breaks down with poor back up in remote locations.

To paraphrase an earlier post if one of ten small combines is lost it's better than one of three massive ones.
