Wonder why agco done away with allis tractors seein as it was thier founding company
Not little at the time. Big output....2388 was a classic machine. Didn't set the world on fire but it was cheap to buy and fairly simple to run. Great little machines.
Acres maybe but tonnes of grain/straw combined through the machine I very much doubt it. Some of the big farms in Russia/eastern block will hold those titles I’d expect where yields are similar to ours but fields are like North America..But their probably cuttin more acres per season than anywhere else in the world

Some are and some aren’t, just like the USA (and the UK this year.)Russia yields are low
I meant more down towards the Black Sea/Ukraine where 4t/ha is the average and yields up to 6-7t/ha are very achievable.Russia yields are low
German panzers used to roam the Russian plains, now it is german combinesI meant more down towards the Black Sea/Ukraine where 4t/ha is the average and yields up to 6-7t/ha are very achievable.
im sure profi did a dvd on a lexion 600 doing collossal acreage and tonnage starting in the Black Sea going up to north Russia harvesting all types of crops
To be fair claas have a combine factory in Russia too....German panzers used to roam the Russian plains, now it is german combines
I’m told the biggest issue with the 2388 is finding one, simply because the folks who have them tend to want to keep themStill many CASE 2388s out there earning their keep, seen 4 or 5 this season, nice combines

The day I was at claas factory they were building Tucanos for a big farm in Kazakhstan. Most of them going down line were for same farm!To be fair claas have a combine factory in Russia too....

It must be incredible for the blokes that drive these when you see the shyte they used to driveThe day I was at claas factory they were building Tucanos for a big farm in Kazakhstan. Most of them going down line were for same farm!
I found it interesting they were buying lots of tucannos rather than just a few monster Lexions with 40ft cuts. Never found out why.It must be incredible for the blokes that drive these when you see the shyte they used to drive

Not a business model followed by many farmers/contractors.They have the staff and need the redundancy if one machine breaks down with poor back up in remote locations.
To paraphrase an earlier post if one of ten small combines is lost it's better than one of three massive ones.
Not in this part of Europe. Imagine having to find half a dozen skilled drivers, let alone pay their wages! Not a business model followed by many farmers/contractors.
Not with combines maybe and a slightly different thing cos they wouldn't all be working at once but lots of folk have a few older tractors that between them wouldn't buy one new one, if one is not working just use another oneNot a business model followed by many farmers/contractors.
