Ideal combine

I’m not at all . You just post on every topic. You don’t drive or own an ideal so why post your opinion saying to avoid

I'm sorry you feel I post on every topic. I wasn't aware there was a rule against this, or that it somehow offends you or something. I certainly do not post on every topic: I don't have the time nor the interest. What would you say would be an acceptable daily quota of topics to contribute to?

I was after actual feedback from people running them please.
Not running one and don't own one, but was speaking to guy I went to Claas factory with in 2019 last week.

He bought a new Ideal for 2020 harvest. He's delighted with it and has no regrets he said. Fendt have continually updated it. He said its a 2022 spec machine and it hasn't cost him a penny.

A estate we buy straw from runs 1 too and manager is happy with it. It was a prototype machine from Germany 🇩🇪. But fully upgraded to UK spec before he bought it.

Nice to bale behind.

I think best avoided for now unless something radical was changed since last harvest.

Actually quite sensible advice. I don’t own or drive one either but I have a friend who has one and very much wishes that he didn’t have it.
He is at the very top of his game and would be well known to many on this forum. Unless there has been a dramatic change this season I doubt you would buy one after speaking with him.

Can you remind me, what guts do they have? Is it a conventional drum with rotors behind or something else?

I’m told there is a different colour coming next year. At the time they hadn’t worked out which models but Definately coming apparently. Struggling to shift the ideals apparently as everyone knows his struggles through YouTube

The Ideals sold for between 260k & 280k Canadian dollars yesterday in the auction.

Mike received his new combines last week, two identical X9s, one for each of the farms. The rest of the family have gone for S790s.

Has he Definately got the x9. Was told last week the s790 were at dealer but they weren’t sure on the x9

at least Deere did better than the sprayer deals

wow. It has to hurt Agco ! Shame they put it up for sale before it was really ready. By all accounts they give a really clean sample and have great output but seem to stop too often !!

it must be hurting. I’m not sure what we see on mikes videos is representative of other real world scenarios. They seem to put their equipment under stresses that don’t exist elsewhere.
I know of 1050 fendts pulling 84 ft seedhawk drills easy enough. Local dealer had a demo 1042 on a 70 ft flexicoil with no issues at all. Why could mikes not pull 68 ft. Different drills I know but flexicoil not that easy pulled. I’ve used a 822 Fendt on a 40 ft drill here. No worries at all.

the ideals sold by my dealer have been ok. Not perfect but certainly not like mikes have been portrayed. Agco are doing very extensive update programs and no one has been left wanting. I know where there is a demo ideal 8. 2018 model. Wasn’t sold but was used to ensure parts backup. This machine has been updated to 2022 spec and will be available to buy for a hell of a good deal soon. Just need to win lotto tonight.

Agreed, Agco can't be faulted for their support on these machines it would appear. It will be interesting to see how the X9's cope with his operation.

to be fair he whinges about everything eventually so won’t be long. Machines flying around like last year in the drought don’t like it. When they are full it’s much better for them.
