Not wanting to cause offence, but I don't see how anyone can make a meaningful opinion on a daughter until she is well into her first lactation.
No but you can get a good impression, and if you genomic test then you have a fairly reliable set of stats to know whether the bull is worth using again.
Plus theres other things than conformation and milk to look at, survival and immune strength being one of them.
Where I used to work started genomic testing and found it really interesting to see that a red bull they had used came back as low immunity across the calves which made sense as we then realised that all the calves from that bull at some point had had scour and a few had pneumonia too.

What bulls are you using at the moment @Friesianfan
Won’t be serving any until next may april now but ive got some seb coming so will use as much of him as I can. Goonhilly James, Chad, Josh and Elijah in the flask. I’ll probably keep the bulls I used a lot of this year Goonhilly Cameron and Goonhilly Isaac. Cameron is a bit different being from carrickshock Piet 2 from my favourite cow Goonhilly Rebnautical Sylvia http://www.holstein-uk.org/animaldata/animal/factsheet/38342915 And Goonhilly Isaac is from catlane Caleb and has a higher pli than any bull on the list.
