This yr painting the house doesn’t sound quite as exciting!
After a very interesting/challenging yr. I need a break.Probably looking forward to milking then!
You will punish the feet on them poor cows.I'm in need of a break moving from autumn calving to spring should do it. Being in the planning stage for few years this year seems to be the year to make the move.
Cows are bulling strong should i push them harder with protein this winter, to get higher peak for a long lactation or keep on a healthy, fertility conscious diet. Cows normally peak now at 2.1kg ms and will still be doing 2kg ms come mid may.
Weston super mare?WSM?
Don't agree; no need to go loopy with protein, absolutely no need to wreck feet and if the OP has a half decent herd why trade out for a bunch of unknowns. You will punish the feet on them poor cows.
Sell them and buy some springs in
You evidently have a very understanding buyer.I'm in need of a break moving from autumn calving to spring should do it. Being in the planning stage for few years this year seems to be the year to make the move.

A bunch of autumn cows all winter bulling on concrete! We're glad to have started serving, if we don't stop them bulling there heats will just get stronger and longer as the winter goes on. Bulling every 24 days for upto 3 days at a time. So maybe 18 days throughout the winter pivoting on her back legs. Why would that punish their feet ?
Slipped or flattened by bigger cows?Lost couple cows here going down in the night bulling. Glad started serving couple weeks ago so scrum of bulling cows should hopefully be reducing
Edited that for clarificationWeston super mud?
