looks like the 'men in grey suits' didn't like the poll thread and i've had 4 posts deleted.....what've they to hide?....why don't they like being talked about?

if i'm wrong could i have some information on where a list of 'stakeholders' who decide farm assurance standards could be found TIA

If anything this episode (which I missed so am having to read between the lines) has probably shown exactly why the NFU will not have a forum, unmoderated falls into anarchy, moderated pretty much the same, no win situation.
better than telly though:D

Just wondering what the next revelation will be:nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting:

I deleted ALL off topic posts like I said I would - yours and those of several others, don't go feeling special please !

I apologise (again) as what I should have done was move them rather than delete, I was on my phone and thats not easy to do on a phone

Now, Im going out, good night !

Selective memory and selective deletions , as you said in the pm you ARE judge jury and executioner in this instance .

not correct - I posted twice asking for thread to be kept on topic (poll only) you contemned ti post beyond that as did others so I deleted them all

Again Im sorry, I should have moved the posts not deleted, my excuse is I was on a iPhone and it hard to move posts yet easy to delete them

See ya - you're just going to get in trouble ;)

No, 99% of people have no interest in petty spats.

Well in this case I think your wrong!! it should be on the main page and members should be allowed to post about them on the same thread!!

If they had just been moved in the first place as promised by Clive ( who is now saying he deleted them when I thought it was Carole who did so:scratchhead:) then we could have been discussing the NFU finances instead of spending ages trying to be allowed to even start a thread about them!

It wasn't anything like that , ffs I'm not even interested in the nfu just happened to be reading when someone had a total sense of reason failure and one or two members felt badly treated .... and still do.

you can start as many threads about them as you like or just about anything else for that matter as I have repeatedly said

you can not take a thread off topic when asked not to do so though

Yes, after you had given no reason for having deleted a very innocuous post , yet let others remain. Its that selective memory of yours again

Nope, I (Jake / sleepy) have an equal shareholding in TFF and can call a last minute stay of execution (y)

You perhaps need to remind Clive of that then. Thanks for displaying the deleted posts(y)

Just caught up now the thread is back, the poll thread ought to have been locked to replies from the start IF possible, otherwise you just have to live with whatever is said.

Bored now:bored::bored::bored::bored::bored::bored:

Spoiled my fun it did, had all sorts of conspiracies playing in my little head:pompous: My imagination had it far more exciting.

the only posts that remain were my own, thats because they explained I had deleted off topic posts and re affirmed my request to please stay on topic

moderating on a iPhone is not easy ! you might want to have a go sometime while doing other stuff at the same time ! - if you expect perfection from me or any other moderator Im afraid you will often be disapointed !

its all back there now

I suggest you move on and put your energy into starting threads to discuss (on topic please !) the very issues you feel we for some crazy reason wish to censor

The reason I feel so strongly about it is because Guy Smith started a thread trying to make fun of me ( a genuine and very long time NFU family farmer member ) and in the intrests of fair play I didn't make any attempt to stop it as it soon became clear that it generated a lot of debate ( from both sides of the NFU camp ) about the NFU which I thought could only be a good thing for both the NFU and TFF.. then we get this thread where Guy Smith made himself look a complete idiot by claiming that the NFU doesn't have any cash reserves/ investments etc ( which I don't have a problem with accidently ) when the NFU accounts clearly show they have!! and the next thing you know the all the posts in relation to this have been deleted..... then tonight it turns out that Clive reckons Guy was miss understood and he didn't mean what he said... problem is that Guy had told Clive this in a private PM instead of actually coming onto the thread and saying he didn't come across clearly and that he meant the NFU does have a lot of assets/ cash and investments...

And also it was very clear this morning that Clive said on that thread he would move all post's to a new thread but wouldn't have time until tonight ( which is fair enough ) then Carol turns around 5 mins later, locks the thread, deletes all the posts and puts up a message saying that the NFU finances have been discussed enough on TFF and that is why she is deleting the posts and locking the thread.... now we are told its Clive who did this and not Carol.... talk about digging a hole and jumping in... this is a classic case....

Needs to be transparency on TFF.. clearly in this case its anything but that...
