You tend to get folk desperate for a load of something at auctions if they’ve been let down or can’t get anything elsewhere so on the back of that the running comes into it.
Otherwise you get loads turning up ran to silly money then passed out with no one in at them but appear as that was the value basically price setting

So are auctions OK to buy and sell livestock, but not straw? (ps, I don't sell sraw at auction), I bet all the fatstock buyers would prefer to buy directly from the farmers cheaper than they are paying at auction.

Which one? a certain well known company were £135 last week for same stuff and someone quoted me £185 today for Kiln Dried

Straw is not always more expensive at auction than getting it delivered by a merchant so why should they stay away from auctions, just need to know when to stop that's all

If its the one I'm thinking its fantastic for cubicle mats, best stuff you can get , I don't get the FG sorry but the price is about right
If its the recycled waste you mean then it is expensive. Should be less than £45

Mini Hestons are normally 4 to ton . But it's pot luck in an auction as you have no idea
And D4000 quoted are not Mini Hestons but 80 x70

So we're the d4000, sold per bale then worked out per ton, because a ton of straw is a ton of straw if sold buy the weighbridge ticket.

The attached clearly states mine hestons, at £130, barley, that's far cheaper than any dealer quote.
