Silage / Straw / Hay Price Tracker

You tend to get folk desperate for a load of something at auctions if they’ve been let down or can’t get anything elsewhere so on the back of that the running comes into it.
Otherwise you get loads turning up ran to silly money then passed out with no one in at them but appear as that was the value basically price setting

Some in Hereford made over £200 ton
Mini Hestons are normally 4 to ton . But it's pot luck in an auction as you have no idea
And D4000 quoted are not Mini Hestons but 80 x70
So we're the d4000, sold per bale then worked out per ton, because a ton of straw is a ton of straw if sold buy the weighbridge ticket.

The attached clearly states mine hestons, at £130, barley, that's far cheaper than any dealer quote.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
