Just stupid if you ask me. Probably looking at £250 k for platform and machines. Think I'd like to protect it all from the elements a bit more than that.
Open sided shed over it wouldn't cost a great deal. I can see an overzealous Red Tractor or Dairy inspector making a right rubbish of that.

What's a good way to ask your neighbour to be more proactive about controlling noxious weeds?

this equals viable seed, up to 70,000 per plant they reckon, lives in the soil for years
I don't know how to let him know that he needs to "get onto them 6 weeks ago" without straining a neighbourly relationship, and I also don't want them springing up on this side of the fence

Ask him nicely if you can run a topper over them for him because you don't want the seeds blowing over. That might spur him onto doing something. Might not. I know you shouldn't have to and you don't want to do it yourself but...

Wind was blowing the right way today. So neighbors bathurst burr and horehound got a drink. He has a channel on the boundary fence and sees fit not to worry about spraying my side of it. Spent all summer spraying the ones on my side. Dont need him reseeding me....
