Blood sucking ahdb

I was trying to help - not that you would ever accept that anyway, nor recognise that you need any.

Have a think what exactly you want to know, and go from there. If AHDB had given UK Engage the list of members (which clearly they have done, else you wouldn't have a ballot paper), plus some idea of size for each member (which they might have done), then they can easily provide the same data analysis that happened for Horti, without declaring how each business voted. Hence my suggestion to find out exacty what information they hold about you.

So learn a lesson and ask for help from someone who is fully literate, if the email you are sending is important. They don't to be well educated, but should know the difference between "past" and "passed". Whilst spelling isn't always crucial, it is if you need your message to be unambiguous.
You didn't get an adult to check that post, did you?
None of us are perfect, including yourself judging by the above post, I reckon the word need is missing on more than one occasion, not that that stopped me understanding what you meant.

But you’re spot on when you say whilst spelling isn’t allways crucial , it is if you need your message to be unambiguous.

Thanks for your help you made some good suggestions, but don't try and make fun of my literacy over a slip with "passed" and "past".

You did it twice, and it’s a fundamental part of the question. I also pointed out that the question was worded so poorly that they could answer either way and you would be none the wiser to your concerns.

Your welcome 😉

it appears Adrian Cunnington has staged a management buy out which has been turned down , he has now been put on gardening leave , we only live a few miles from Sutton bridge and have known for quite a long time that they wanted to shut it down, they only want third parties doing research they are not geared up to do this stuff themselves.

Another easy one to check. Adrian is not on gardening leave. I am told you asked this last night at the town hall meeting and were put right then too. They are recording the potato ones and posting them on their youtube channel, so you might want to be a little more careful with your lies White Rabbit.

UK Engage had no problem understanding my email, it may not be the best grammar but their answer was quick and to the point. "We do not declare how each business has voted" so what's the problem?

You have expressed concern that they might publish a breakdown of votes by farm size, which they can easily do without declaring how each business voted.

Thanks I will contact UK Engage to ask what data they are collection for the potato ballot. I think it should be only yes or no

the question to ask UK Engage is, i assume.

’I note ballots were categorised by levy paid. How were you able to categorise ballots by amount of levy paid. What information were you provided that allowed you, the ballot organiser, to know the levy amount paid by each participant in the ballot’

This has gone on to long I don't think it is fare to publish a private email on the forum without their knowledge. I am satisfied they say the only data collected is yes/no and total votes cast. End of story

The email may well say that, but the bit you quoted doesn’t.
Don’t be surprised if there’s the same breakdown by levy paid/ size as there was for Horti - certainly nothing in what you’ve written would preclude that happening.

I think the lies might be coming from you my friend , why don’t you finish the rest of the statement off ,you know full well that Sutton bridge is ear marked to be sold off.

while we have the ex ahdb staff here maybe you can explain which bit of the 61% majority you friends don’t understand, if you can get them to point it out I will talk them through it. and furthermore if 240 levy payers had not been barred because the hadn’t the funds to pay even though they have paid for the last 11 years that 61% would have been 77%, mind you if it was 110% they still couldn’t accept it , i suppose when you have all these years not doing very much and know you will get paid because the law is on your side you would not feel like giving it up.

Thanks Hindsight that wording should clarify the situation beyond doubt,I will email them tomorrow.

It now is becoming apparent that the papers were opened on a daily basis even though we told they wouldn’t be opened until the 17th and the results a week later, this is how they managed to get the results out Monday night. All this gave the ahdb time to come up with this weighting nonsense which is utterly disgraceful .

Do email UK Engage the question. Whether their answer clarifies the situation 'beyond doubt' will depend on the reply. But the sentences I wrote were open question, so hopefully should elicit an informative reply. Depending on the reply you may need to make subsequent enquires. But you will only know that once UK Engage reply. We await with interest.

Did the horti ballot paper have any request for info on the amount of levy paid? I have been assured that for the potato ballot the only data collected is the total number of votes cast and the split of votes for Yes/No, so I cannot see how that relates levy paid

Simon the ballot paper had your ahdb levy number on it , this would give them all the information they needed , this was sent to ahdb daily which should not have happened, mind you I bet they was hitting the panic button when they saw what was happening. I think a lot of people would agree this ballot has a nasty smell about it from start to finish.

I’ve been following this thread as some of you may be aware that combinable growers are discussing RT. I don’t know the rights and wrongs of of hort and pot growers but it is progress that you are getting a say. My biggest concern is one contributor (highland mule) has pick on people for their grammar. As one who has dyslexia and it takes me time to try and get things right I feel his criticism a form of bullying.

If anyone cares to go to the AHDB potatoes YouTube channel, I have now done this myself at the time of my last message I had only been told about it, not only can they see you ask if Adrian Cunnington is on garden leave and you being told no that he was in a meeting the day before the Town hall - but you can also see the previous week's meetings, which Adrian himself is on! You've been caught telling a bare faced lie, why should anyone believe a word you say about anything else?

Another point, if AHDB are so terrible and nobody values it, why do you care about Sutton Bridge?

You are a bare faced liar and your motives are not genuine, but even if I were inclined to, I could not answer the second part of the question as I have absolutely no clue what is to happen to Sutton Bridge - though it seems fairly obvious that is would definitely go if there were no AHDB. Now, WR, is that a good thing or a bad thing, it is getting difficult to tell which side you're on!?

Firstly I object to be called a liar , I was not at the town hall meeting because I am not a potato grower and would not be allowed in and after going to the horticultural meeting I wouldn’t waste my time again , I have had a meeting this afternoon with a large group of potato growers who do know what was said and indeed they were told adrian was not on gardening leave and frankly no one believed it , what you forgot to say in your rant was when asked if Sutton bridge was closing they dodged the question by saying the couldn’t answer that while the ballot was on no I bet they couldn’t, personally it does not make any difference to me if it stays or goes, but what I would like is an apology from you.

Point of order - I didn’t pick on him for his grammar, nor did I criticise him. I pointed out to him that the question he asked was not going to confirm or otherwise his concerns and that he had to be more accurate with his words when corresponding with an official organisation about something as important as what he was wanting to know.
