I came home one night to find cows all milked, night scraping done warm fresh baked sausage rolls and fresh cake waiting. All sorted by neighbouring farmers.
A week or so watching NHS staff busy working away in NICU really makes you realise how lucky we are to have the NHS.

having spent time in intensive care with our eldest it is something I would never wish our my worst enemy but when all seems lost it never amazes me at what the farming community can pull together and how incredible those doctors and nurses are. Wishing you all the best with the new arrival

Looks like what we would refer to as mud rock can just dig it out with digger easy enough and makes a great base in a shed but outside need to cover over with better stone or it just turns to sh1t!
Luckily we have a hole with that in and another with some good hard stone but that takes more getting out!!
It will turn to clay if you pulverise it enough. Needs a good camber and no tractors.

Seems like for once I'm ahead of the curve! Not sure on temp but grass is shifting some, been grazing for a month and started the second round 2 days ago, corn in today, grass seed going in tomorrow, been shorts and t-shirt weather for the past few days, been like a nice summer month!
2nd round with milkers? Seems a bit quick? What length was your 1st round. Weve still got between 12 and 20 days left dependant on platform, and wouldn't be worried about slowing that down a bit
