Why do they run such a wide wheelbase on the tractor?Ready to start planting winter wheat ( Lancer. Most of our wheat crop is what you would consider “spring” wheats ) back into the mungbean stubble ( harvested a couple of weeks ago. Full profile of moisture under it, so as part of the plan to have living roots & groundcover for as much of the year as I can, going straight back in with another crop ) tomorrow.
Seed in truck, starter fert in 1 tonne bags.
72 stand???Nice old shed.
Our place used to be part of Tupple station many years ago. The Tupple woolshed which is 72 stand and is over 30 km away is still used today.
In 2010 they had a re-enactment day with it in full use as it was when it was built
I drove 300 km today to pick up a kelpie pup. Ended up in the mountains in freezing cold conditions and rain.
72 stand???
How many sheep?

I love snow, it brings money flowing in.Snow is only exciting if you are under twelve years old or a dog.
I'm happy that it means more moisture which means more grass, been a major limiting factor here so farI love snow, it brings money flowing in.
And bmw dicks are grounded
Nothing like staying in practice Pete...keeps you sharp....Not so happy that it means more moisture which means more sliding trucks around hills
Will be leaving my mark on the world next week, mate! I did finally get new tyresNothing like staying in practice Pete...keeps you sharp....

CTF controlled traffic farming
the idea is to limit all wheel traffic to just the one track, to minimise soil compaction across the paddock. Obviously, the wider the “modules”, the less % of the field is compacted by tyres
3 metre track is pretty much standard now ( although some go 2 m, some go 4 m, just depends how each farm wants to do it ) as that is the wheel spacing on most large headers ( combines ) and they are probably the hardest machine to adjust the track. So, everything running in same wheel tracks, on the same spacing. Usually based around multiples of 9 m or 12 m, but it can be anything that suits your system. Eg, 12 m header front, 12 m planter & 36 m spray rigs
obviously, if you are a contractor, or use contractors, then you want to be on the most common system.
You're not a fan of skiing then....I agree 100% with this.
It had a brief "cool again" phase when I got my drivers licence, but...
I can ski and board alright, but it doesn't really spin my wheels as a "must do that again" activityYou're not a fan of skiing then....
Ha! You know my prediliction for jumping off tall things....I can ski and board alright, but it doesn't really spin my wheels as a "must do that again" activity
would rather jump off tall things and out of high things to have a good time, by comparison skiing is just like lousy foreplay
Do you ever get premature wheel bearing failure on the machines that have been widened?
