I'm not part of any.

Well that needs to change.

Proudly announcing the inauguration of the "Wannabe Redneck Fückwit Club" - big on dreams and small on ability. Anyone wishing to join, drop me a pm.
I'm sorry that name has already been taken, well part of it and that could mean that you represent far more people than you openly say you do ;)
To be honest @unlacedgecko I don't think your taking this thread seriously enough🤣(y)

That's because the whole thing is storm in a tea cup böllocks about nothing.

I fear some posters massively over estimate the clout of TFF. It's not an industry body, lobbying group or professional organisation. It's a free to use message board open to anyone with access to an internet connection.

It's not the TFF that lends your group credibility, it's the actual members themselves, who've stuck their heads up with their real names, farming details and professional qualifications.

I simply don't see what the fuss is about.

You could have called yourselves the National grassroots farmers union or association which concludes you represent the members of that association or union members.
You could equally have written “You could have called yourself The TFF Grassroots Group which concludes you represent members of that group…..”
No they represent the members of their "party" the clues in the name.
Union
Association
Party
Club

All these will have rules and regulations of association.

Hence the use of the names.
I’ve re-written this one too:
No, they represent members of their “group”
The clue’s in the name
Union
Association
Party
Club
Group”

There you go….

I think you’re secretly in favour of what we’ve done @Sid 😂

Good for you. They might also represent mine, by and large, but that’s neither here nor there.
Although I see this collective making little to no difference, I hope if a group of forum members are selected to put views forward to the Scottish Government or the NI Assembly that a representative group can be formed through democratic means or at least based on votes as opposed to a closed group like the English and Welsh have done.

Although for all I know there's already a group formed.

Farming and its place in the World is about far more than grazing long grass with cattle.
Absolutely. (y)

But conventional intensive arable farming gets far too much of the policy attention despite only being around 30% of UK farmed land area and we are talking about Environment schemes here.

ELS and HLS were massively biased towards arable farms.

CS has also been very hard for lowland grass farms to get into unless they already had SSSI land or similar.

We are trying to redress a balance issue.

Particularly since it won't be listened to.
And besides, the government/supermarkets get all they need to know from places like TFF anyway, people volunteer it by the bucket load every day when they don't use spellcheck.

A group has no written constitution, rules or articles.

These Simple things seem so confusing for you all.

i get that , balance caused by raising the other extreme .

somewhere in the middle here mixed lowland here, it works well . traditional idea though not particularly exciting
,but balanced in itself i guess ,
which imo is where representation should be .

So you’re saying we are not a legally recognised body and have no formal standing, we are just a disparate group of farmers who’ve got together to give our personal thoughts on a few things. Therefore, as a group we can call ourselves whatever we want. If we were bound by a constitution or a set of Articles of Association it would be different, so we agree.

Again, you’re making our case for us @Sid 😂

As far as I'm aware, nobody has been selected. This is merely a group of like-minded individuals making a collective submission to the public consultation on ELMS.

Anyone can make a submission. Poor @delilah has worn out her key board the last few months asking TFF posters to make a submission. How many have?

No we do not agree on the naming process in anyway.

The way the members of this group are behaving also makes me very dubious about them representing me in any way shape or form, even if I agree with their submission.
