I see the 1206, and a couple of the others, have the fender mounted radios. Is it actually possible to hear them while the tractor is working ?
And what is the orange cab over truck in the background ? It looks a classic in itself.

The 1206 radio is actually a camera monitor for the grain cart auger. There wouldn’t be a chance in hell of hearing it on that tractor with the 4 ft straight pipe at full chat. Your ears will ring for a day afterwards if you pull it all day.

The others were put on there by an uncle who was always obsessed with listening to a radio. You can hear them a bit if they aren’t at full revs. They also have 3 old tractors with cabs and it’s a struggle to hear the radio in them.

The cab over is a 93 Volvo. It’s only got 400k on it, got it for $3500. Has a 60 series Detroit and a 13 speed. Full air ride.

Rough ones under £1000, good ones anywhere up to £2000 for a really good one, its hard to find a genuine unmolested one now as they were so common and bits swapped over

He’s had it 50 years and never had it out the shed he’s no farmer just collects things got a plane engine an all sorts off weird stuff so it’s probably pretty straight under the dust

Started to sort out the "veg plot yard" today, Leyland on the weeks 3 tonner, and the mighty komatsu loading.

Also fired up the oldest "tractor" on the farm for the first time in 6 months.

Owned since new and bought by my great grandad in the 40s,

Fired up 4th swing of the handle

What do you call those bale packs? Are they loaded with a perry bale squeeze?

It's a Cooks system, groups of 8 bales, 4 on top of 4. The grab is like a Perry squeeze, just longer, to cope with 2 bale lengths.

2 real benefits, it keeps some bales off the floor so they don't wick moisture from the ground, and as my brother and I inherited the kit we didn't have to buy it!
Seriously though, for the quantity of small bales that we do, it's ok.
