Maybe the main buyer had the sickness bugI'm not sure that I would rely on the returns from Wooler to forecast a national trend?

How many buyers for fat lambs do they get?I'm not sure that I would rely on the returns from Wooler to forecast a national trend?

Same buyers as lot of other places ??
I've never been TBH but they certainly get less stock than St Boswells and there's maybe five buyers there. But yes, they will buy elsewhere too.How many buyers for fat lambs do they get?
I thought Scots Gap was his collection centre??JC on his jollies?
Maybe Amanda is after BR too!!!I thought Scots Gap was his collection centre??
Thirsk have been dear today, but and it is a big but, the last thing I want as a live weight seller is deadweight cattle men turning up with extra cattle, for a week or 2 to see how they get on, there's a limit as to how many cattle liveweight buyers want. Seen it in Thirsk before somebody who sells deadweight brings 20 R grade cattle (usually the week after a flyer and overweight) and trade drops 10p everyone is pi$$ed off and deadweight man grumbles and moans about selling live, and goes back to selling dead.Back from gisburn bulls clean absolutely mental how people are selling good clean deadweight in the north I really do not know ?!!!!!!!!!! Either thick or naive !!! Cows more money too today a good trade !! I was told thirsk Darlington very dear too !!! If u have yards of good meat cattle in the north and ur not going live why lol ! Cows in gisburn a flyer really too!
Yes I get that to a point but surely people should be selecting some for it and more in still means more men go to a market and it does look like more are needed in the Marts up there doesn’t it ??? Say what you see , cant argue with that.I prob shouldn’t say so much as could get grief but if it was the other way round I’d say that too I only write what I see each week up and down if I offend I’m sorry !!

If they are not going dead they will have to go to market and bid !Thirsk have been dear today, but and it is a big but, the last thing I want as a live weight seller is deadweight cattle men turning up with extra cattle, for a week or 2 to see how they get on, there's a limit as to how many cattle liveweight buyers want. There will always be those that see the grass as greener on the other side! Deadweight specs are the real worry, hence the dumping on the markets.Thirsk have been dear today, but and it is a big but, the last thing I want as a live weight seller is deadweight cattle men turning up with extra cattle, for a week or 2 to see how they get on, there's a limit as to how many cattle liveweight buyers want. No understand what your saying, and i'm a firm believer in the liveweight and would love to see Thirsk and other marts getting 300-600 cattle every week like they used too, but the buyers just aren't there to take those numbers now, and supermarkets would rather have empty shelves or sell foreign that come to a live market and actually bid for cattle and compete with other buyers!!!Yes I get that to a point but surely people should be selecting some for it and more in still means more men go to a market and it does look like more are needed in the Marts up there doesn’t it ??? Not sure ur right with that soon as the big firms are short they are having cattle out of the live off agents straight in FACTNo understand what your saying, and i'm a firm believer in the liveweight and would love to see Thirsk and other marts getting 300-600 cattle every week like they used too, but the buyers just aren't there to take those numbers now, and supermarkets would rather have empty shelves or sell foreign that come to a live market and actually bid for cattle and compete with other buyers!!!
Yes I know that happens, I just can't see Tony knocking cattle down to Morrison1 and Kepak2 and Dunbia1 and so onNot sure ur right with that soon as the big firms are short they are having cattle out of the live off agents straight in FACT
