I can see a deal too be done… I’m short of tups now, you’ve got plenty…
Tbf there weren’t masses of strong boned lambs in. It’s properly convinced me I’m right going down the blackie bred mule route. But at this time in the season you’re a bit limited which Marts will actually have a decent amount of lambs too pick from. Circumstances changed at the weekend so we went from very overstocked too edging on understocked. Hence I ended up at Lazonby today. There were very pretty tupping lambs but fine boned well up in the 120’s. Anything with colour and power was £128-150.You’ve upset me now, was planning on going, after afew more for myself and some decent runners for a friend. Someone once told me life is full of missed opportunities!!
You must have missed the photos I put up last Thursday. I had five and mate had oneDid you buy too many tups last Wednesday??

Store cattle are definitely dearer the further south you go. Friend of mine turned up in Thirsk yesterday, thought best end leaner type cattle 4-500 kg were about £70-100 a piece less than his weekly martsMarkwt Drayton today on fire fat and stores bonkers
Don't forget all the best mules out of swales were at the last sale. Dont know if you noticed the lambs in just before mine, they were out of Rough Fell yows with a touch of Blackie in them, good carcass but a bit woollyTbf there weren’t masses of strong boned lambs in. Father said buy the rams, wife said buy the ewes, rams raddled ready for loading in the morning and ewes will be on route first thingSounds like my late father’s logic

Did calves seem a bit easier today?Sorry didn't see any sold was on calves
I bought some of them… big bodied sheep, the first pen hadn’t got the RF wool staple, £116. The others had followed the rough a bit too much! Pretty certain the same lad bought the rest at £103-£105. Cheap lambs if you don’t mind the RF woolDon't forget all the best mules out of swales were at the last sale. Very true, very true. The best breeders will mostly have been at Alston moor. Although having seen some of the tup photos floating about lately, I’m wondering if some of the “best” breeders won’t be best for much longer!Don't forget all the best mules out of swales were at the last sale
I’m guessing a lot of Welsh in that to average £57?
Also then had to rent 70 acre to put them onSounds like my late father’s logic
