I some what agree, but then again if they said 6 months ago it would be this price it would of taken some believein?

Yes and free cattle wintering please. There will be plenty of stuff already in the ground that needs fert from February onwards more than likely though

I think if I had arable crops in or a big dairy farm I would be biting the bullet and buying it.
It has been at these levels or close to it before,£1000 /ton is completely uncharted territory.

Red sand was always rumoured to be in cheap cake 20 yrs agoThere's a firm by me who was rumoured to "buffer" the feed with a certain product.
Neighbour asked if we used the cake, said it was expensive shite. Which I replied "what do you expect, have you seen the price of Axminster!"

I didn’t buy it early on this year and bought it at the dearest part of the springAt 20k an artic load .

I have no idea what wheat or barley costs to put in but it will be bloody dear now. Fert is just part of it and no point loosing the rest because of not having it.At 20k an artic load .

From what I can gather this week fat lambs are going into another drop like they did 3 weeks since. Underfinished grass lambs being rushed again as the weather turns. So next week could be steady away while they are floating about again.
Bumper cast ewe entries everywhere. Hill boys must be getting ready for winter. Well meated ewes still in high demand but lean meat and grazers steady away. I’ve had quite a lot of grazing ewes sent at significantly less than I was expecting this week. Damn good feeding ewes too. Could this be the autumn lull until mid November again?
