never seen it stop even in terrible conditions
Not heavy enough land then. It is a great drill but that’s it’s one weakness for us, the only way to drill on a damp day is with the drawbar down

Can't think of any reason to have one over a KV TS tbh.
Heavy dead weight, and that wheel running on the last bout plucks all the soil up, and uncovers 2 rows of seed.

I think ours cost £500 vs a few k for a kv time seeder, depends how much you are sowing I suppose. We have gone to our sabre tine drill now but it was 13x the price and that was home built

I can't seem to figure out how to have the pins for it to fold so I just take the drawbar off and leave it by the field. Must be a better way though, I think seeing your picture has figured it out for me. Mine got a bit sticky too.... I finished in the rain one evening, thinking that the forecast looked like I wouldn't get another chance to get back on the land. Turned out I was wrong and have since finished the drilling properly and rolled it but that wasn't what it looked like at the time so I decided to press on. Another problem I had was a hole in one of the pipes that lifts the transport wheels meaning that it leaked therefore the wheels slowly sagged, eventually bulldozing at times. New pipes should fix that though

The main end tow drawbar has 2 pins in it one big one for when it’s down and a smaller one to hold it up. They both go back in when not the one in use so they are never out the drill

the transport wheels have 2 pin holes down and up, jack the wheels all the way up and put the pin back in then float the hydraulics or put a little pressure on to hold it and they are held up by the pin

I see what you mean about the drawbar, I think that will work on mine. However the transport wheels only have the hole that lines up to hold them in the transport position with a pin, not one for the work position

Ok in the out of work it’s a bit of a pain to get at as it’s right under the little wheels but will try and get a photo of ours just in case for u.

The main end tow drawbar has 3 pins, (one which is the pivot) 2 big ones which are used for transport position and 1 small pin that holds the drawbar upwards while drilling.

Yeah I meant easily removable pins, taking the main pivot one out would be a bit daft plus on ours is got a roll pin through it which would need a hammer and drift to remove

It's definitely daft taking both out, that was the main thought rolling around my head while I was trying to do it singlehandledly while also holding the drawbar ...... both times......

Sorry that made me chuckle, that drawbar is heavy enough when trying to balance horizontal and get the main pin in without physically holding it all up as well.
