As far as I know it was never "cases doubling every day", it was Omicron cases might double every 2 days as a worst case scenario if allowed to continue unchecked - the bulk of cases at the moment are still other variants such as Delta, therefore the total number of cases won't show a doubling & certainly there is a very steep trend showing. As for cases dropping - look back at the data over the last 18 months - case numbers almost always show a dip on Sunday & Monday reporting.

Of course labour want a lock down. They know it costs a lot of money and will make the government look back. Labour would be in favour of universal income as well. Doesn't mean we should do it.

On the opposite side, my granny is basically bed ridden but the media have put such fear into her she wont let us unvaxed in to see her! She didn't mind up until we were eligible to get vaccinated, but when we chose not to the media were just getting started to blame us for other people's vaccine not working.
