After today's numbers, probably buy the first weeks of January there will be way over 100000 a day. I think after Xmas day the country will shut again for a month. This get a jag won't hold it back in the end it will be out of control, Johnstone always playing it up but that expert looked and sounded worried tonight.
The expert would have the country locked down already but boris gets the stick for trying to mediate imo. People need to do whats right by themselves. If people were more sensible then daily life wouldnt be so effected. January is going to be rough.

Precisely. In my opinion if folk just went to work if they can’t from home, shop for food and not socialise in big numbers then it would be a sort of self inflicted lockdown. Maybe this is what Bojo hopes but knowing the public at large, huge numbers won’t bother. Lots of folk walking around a couple of big motorway services today indoors with no face masks! What chance have we got?

Numbers are so high today due to the fact more tests have been done in the last 48 hours than any previous 48 hours in the last 20 months.

The more tests you do the more cases you will find!

If they have another lockdown it will destroy tens of thousands of businesses its as simple as that as if they lockdown now it will be untill April/May at least!

How many people have died from the new strain and been put into hospital with the new strain in the last 24 hours??

Face masks do NOT stop you catching or passing on Covid unless you wear the medical grade masks!

And you say not to socialise in big numbers? so what happens to all the industry's like pubs/ resturants/ cinemas/ etc etc if everyone does that and these sectors and their suppliers get no GOV help??

I do hope you are correct, but eldest came home with laptop from school today in case of lock down.
After the cluster of first lockdown and then this jan to Mar it will be a bloody disaster for the kids. Took us months to get our 9yr old back on track and trying to work at the same time As coordinating 9+hrs of kids zoom lessons a day is a none starter.

My wife's a primary school teacher. Covid has shown there basically a babysitting service. Most parents are working so if schools shut, parents will stop working/earning. With knock on effects to rest of economy.

I would think they would be very reluctant to close schools.

Its actually come at a good time as most schools shut for 2 weeks and parents on Xmas holidays.

What cock you talk any number of studies and Meta studies have shown masks work.
It is also a proven fact that deaths do not occur normally within 28 days unless there are other factors at work so it is not likely we will see any amount of Omicron deaths for at least another 2 weeks
However I do agree that those who are multi jabbed and are healthy have little real fear except a fortnight off work and possibly a prolonged period of weakness
But with one problem , up to 40 % of vulnerable people in some areas have not had a single jab thanks to the misinformation posted by people like you!

Utter rubbish, Nearly ALL studies show masks do not work!

And if masks did work then why has Scotland and Wales had such high case numbers all summer when it was law you had to wear a mask?? whilst in Britain you did not have to wear a mask and case numbers dropped dramatically!

Mask wearing is all about making scared people like you feel safe and to keep the covid narrative in the minds of everyone each and every day! its all about population control ref wearing masks, even the UK Gov admitted that in the summer!

Five nature-recovery projects spanning nearly 100,000ha across the West Midlands, Cambridgeshire, the Peak District, Norfolk and Somerset have been announced by the government and Natural England today (Thursday, May 26).

This is the equivalent in size to all 219 current National Reserves.

The aim of the projects is to deliver nature recovery at a landscape scale, helping to tackle biodiversity loss, climate change and improve public health and well-being.

All five projects will make a significant contribution towards the national delivery of the international commitment to protect at least 30% of land and...
