Isn’t June when they release new season prices and the arable boys start buying for next year?
Most have bought due to crops being in the ground , now then , if they want this stunt to continue cereals need to be thick end of 300 a ton ,If and when prices do return to some sort of normality, I will miss reading the justifications made by all those buying at the top of the market.
Otherwise fallow the lot

Yes. But I don't produce my own. Any fym I get this year is going on the grass. And the digestate lot are currently being indecisive.
So in the absence of organic manures, and kaynitro, I'm left with expensive foliar or nothing. I'll probably go with the nothing tbh.

With the current state of EU/U.K. gas prices, surely no local (EU/U.K.) manufacturer can afford to produce Nitrogen fertiliser presently?
This graph illustrates the new level that gas is at compared to the previous few years (or months even….).
Could this actually lead to real availability issues when the current nitrogen stock is sold…?
I’m not trying to scaremonger but it does look this way to me.
Two questions:
1. if the price of gas goes up by say 50%, how much does the production cost of the nitrogen go up by? I think someone broke this down on this thread at some point.
2. Is there scope to ship nitrogen fertiliser from the US where gas prices are vastly lower?

Had a price from mvf of 760 for urea last Thurs. Withdrawn by Fri morning.
Ordered elsewhere.
Monday i get a call from mvf rep, new price 770.

It means they pull the price list and you can't order at that price.
They usually bring out a new price list and it is higher..
