I see our old friend Dave Throupe is blaming upland land use again. No mention of building on flood plains and not clearing waterways out.
shrewsbury regularly flooded in the 1970s when I was at school there .

2016 was the warmest year since the thermometer was invented.

Jan22 anomaly was about 0.7 degree C below this maximum.

I.M.O the globe will continue to cool , due to more sunlight being reflected ,from the increased area of snow and sea ice, recorded in the last few years.

The blokes a grade A cockwomble isn't he. No mention that it's the environment agency that manage the release of water from lake vyrnwy upstream. They have been criticised before for holding the levels of the lake too high so there is no capacity to hold back water during high rainfall events. And I'd say that 3 storms in a week was 'exceptional'
