Zelensky is misguided in giving weapons to anyone who asks for them. This effectively makes everyone a military target and the civilian losses will be much greater.
Dont know- it sends the true opinions of the population to the "liberators" on the ground who will have only have had info from their superiors

Thing that bothers me is all this gear being sent over /anti tanks ect, getting into rusky hands if they do take over then being used against!!

Underestimate the enemy at your own peril. This is not spur of the moment from Putin! It will be planned against several outcomes. Imo there is much more to come.

Apparently Putin is terrified of Covid and has basically sealed himself away with only a few trusted advisers (Hawks?) with access.
Western intelligence also suggests he’s on steroids due to his puffy appearance. Leads to paranoia and feelings of megalomania

'Pirbright' was the cause of more than one outbreak of FMD in this Country both before and after but not that one as far as we know. The strain of virus they used for vaccinations 'experiments' there was a type of FMDV O1 BFS 1860, virus strain whereas the 2001 type was the simply called 'PanAsia' strain thought most likely its concluded to have been introduced to this country by illegal meat import ,which could mean something as fundamental as contaminated meat hidden in hand luggage etc.
Scape goats can be arranged but .......
Fundamentally the Government is still to blame because they didn't and still don't make rigorous/thorough enough checks inwards (for the unregulated food stuff) .
Allegedly .
Not according to @matthew

No one forced Ukraine to take the West, over the East. But they did.

It's business - this is what is on offer (EU and NATO membership), this is what you have to do to achieve access.

Where the West failed, is not helping Ukraine reach their goals sooner, and not stopping Putin putting the spanner in the works, before now.
This is very much like an Irish problem .Half the Ukraine is pro Russian half is pro West. They can, for simplicity’s sake, be divided along religious lines ( Catholic/ Uniate pro West, Orthodox pro Russian. Also east and west sides of the country). For now the pro East side has been silenced, with the help of people like Victoria Nuland of the Us State Department, and the Maidan revolution. The last 8 years since then have not been good for Ukraine, but it has been good for NATO countries who have sold them heaps of military equipment they can ill afford. Has anyone looked closely at their infrastructure? The place was a disaster before this invasion. Roads, airports, schools, everything is a mess. If the West REALLY CARED about the Ukraine, money would have been spent on that, not weapons. The stuff they have been sold is garbage. All that supposed ‘training’ is about as effective as the training of the Afghan army by the US.
The Ukraine has descended in the last 8 years into the kind of mess Russia was in in the ‘90s: gangsters and Oligarchs are running the country. Don’t try and start a business there because the minute its making money some thug will take it from you. Every taxi driver is longing to get out. This is what Western intervention has done. It stinks. And now many of you want even more destruction. Finish the lot off.
How many of you ever spent one second of your life thinking about Ukraine 10 years ago? I bet very few.But it was always there and then some smart aleck in the US state department realised that getting at Ukraine was the best way to get at Russia.: Mitt Romney , in the2012 presidential election ,said that Russia was the USA’s greatest enemy. Evryone was shocked by this, at home and abroad, because there was no tension, no animosity any more. But it was the beginning. And now we are seeing the end of that policy. I personally don’t think it will end well, but those of you who have investments in armaments should do well.

I think that is exactly true. Putin's goal is to rebuild the Russian Empire and since he came to office he has been rebuilding and modernising the Russian military with exactly that in mind. He is now pretty much following Hitler's play book on the run up to WW2. Even accusing the Ukraine of being a dagger to the chest of Russia a similar phase used by Hitler about Czechoslovakia being "knife to the heart of Germany" in 1938. Then he on moved on to Poland in 1939.

I do wonder if Putin has been watching the "woke" movement in the west, and decided that we no longer have the backbone to stand against him
I suspect Kremlin bots may have been encouraging it all along.
There are very few real people, with real names and faces who wade into the identity politics rows on Twitter. They’ve been playing us and undermining the West for the years. We’ve been asleep to it.
